JR’S NOT DEAD are an acoustic duo supported by professional backing tracks, (this allows us to provide a full band sound if necessary at half the price) & harmonies, playing hits from the 60’s to today that suit restaurants & classy bars. Our line up consists of 2 very experienced musicians & vocalists that have played at many local & some overseas venues.

LEAD SINGER & GUITAR – RUSSELL DAVIDSON

Russell has been a lead singer & guitarist in bands, groups & duos for the past 14 years, playing in many venues around Victoria such as, Ashburton Street festival, RAH bar, The Meadows greyhound track, Simbar, Mordialloc sporting club, Waverley RSL, Westernport Hotel, Alpine Hotel – Bright, Macawber Tavern, Advocate Restaurant, Miss Lucy Café, Prohibition restaurant & Abbey Road St Kilda. 

LEAD GUITAR & VOCALS – JON HUGHES

Jon is a seasoned player, having been in bands in the UK and Australia since the late ‘90s. He plays electric and acoustic guitar and bass, and is an accomplished lead player, as well as singing backing and occasional lead vocals. Jon is also very handy and has built his own electric guitars, as well as modifying and repairing guitars and amps.
