Nota Bene

Nota Bene is a duo based in Melbourne and was formed in 2016. Performing Brazilian Jazz music, their repertoire includes music by great composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Baden Powell, Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolin, Vinicius De Moraes and many more

Cassie Elliget is a vocalist from the Mornington Peninsula. Cassie especially enjoys singing Jazz music, including Brazilian Jazz. Her love of music and singing led her to study voice and she completed a Bachelor of Applied Music at Box Hill Institute in 2010. Cassie has been a performer in many musical theatre productions and has had experience collaborating with a number of musicians. Cassie has a strong voice, full of soul and passion, with a flexible range and notable intonation and timing. Cassie is performing Sambas, Bossa Nova and Jazz in the duo Nota Bene with guitarist Roman Goldine.

Roman Goldine is a Melbourne based guitarist performing traditional Brazilian Samba, Bossa Nova and Choro (Brazilian instrumentals). Roman graduated from Moscow State Institute of Music and Melba Conservatorium of Music as a musician – performer. Roman moved to Melbourne in 1998 and has led an active musical life. He has a strong commitment to performing Brazilian contemporary music. He has performed in duos, trios and bands at many venues around Melbourne and Victoria including music festivals, jazz clubs and wineries. Roman has developed a singular path as a guitarist, combining performance and teaching guitar. Roman currently works in the duo Nota Bene with vocalist Cassie Elliget.
