Chris Commerford – Acoustic
Sprouting in the deep south of Victoria on the Mornington Peninsula, The Chris Commerford Band augments Pop, Blues, Soul and Roots to from an ambiguous yet intricate grooving vessel. From slow spacious ambient numbers to downright dirty beats, the band offers a wide range of sculpted audio for your enjoyment.
The Melbourne based singer/songwriter takes to the musical blender an acoustic guitar, smooth jazz chords, a catchy chorus hook and a blues inspired guitar solo to mould his songs into style while processed and arranged by the group. He draws from an ongoing list on influences including Steely Dan, John Mayer, James Bay, John Butler Trio and Dave Mathews.
Previous performances have seen Chris working solo acoustic, but now he has teamed up to form a power band to unleash the full potential of his works. On stage he is joined by Chelsea Allen (drums)
and Stuart Miller (bass) with the occasion fill in from Simon wood (Drums and past skin hitter) Ryan Haus, Tearnu Graham and Ian Treloar. John Buggy has joined the crew adding textual layers of keys, organ and string to create the Full sound of The Chris Commerford Band.
Lion Head is the first EP available from the band, containing 7 tracks and a live acoustic track available late 2016.
