Based on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, 15-year-old guitarist Charlie Scribbles is already carving out his place in the local music scene with an eclectic sound that’s all his own. His music weaves together the shimmering tones of surf rock, the grit of punk, and the timeless pulse of classic rock — a combination that keeps things fresh and full of character.
Charlie’s love of performing started early. He first hit the stage before the age of nine, performing at local markets and the St Leonards Yacht Club. He also played at The Shadoz event in 2019 and the Door Gallery in Fyansford. Over the years, he’s performed at a variety of events, including the Humans in Geelong Expo at Geelong Racecourse in 2021 and Art of the Open Minds Torquay in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Charlie has also graced the stage at venues like Nashville’s renowned Legends Bar, Lukey Lukes’s Open Mic Nights at Beavs’s Bar in Geelong, and been part of the line-up at the Portarlington Mussel Festival 2023 & 2024. He regularly gigs at community events, local markets, private events, and venues like the Navy Club Geelong and the Music Cafe at Portarlington Golf Club.
No matter the setting, Charlie brings a relaxed confidence to his sets. His music reflects both his curiosity as a young artist and his deep appreciation for the sounds that shaped him — always with a nod to the surf coast community that’s supported his journey so far.
