Arandú, meaning ‘to feel time,’ was formed in a shed in Melbourne’s South East. For lack of a better musical term we are a latin jazz group with the ability to be a small trio or larger ensemble. The quartet is unique as it has a beautiful intensity with Josh Fotopoulos on keys and left hand bass, Alejandro Vega on drums, Will Morrissey on sax and Tom Jovanavic on trumpet and flugal horn.
The band is know for being able to tell a story, to take you on a journey whilst you experience the soulful latin rhythms from the drums and piano and the lyrical melodies from the horns. With each member playing for each other, the transient nature of music means that the journey that we will take you on will be different every performance. One thing is for sure, we will be filled with passion and excitement as we play our music.
Arandu takes influences from a range of music and styles, which gives the band its unique flare.
We hope you enjoy…
